Patriot Pool Service, LLC has an immediate opening for an experienced swimming pool construction foreman.
Performs construction labor work involving physical labor at residential, and commercial sites, which may include but is not limited to, operating and maintaining various machines, construction, and power equipment such as hand and power tools of all types: air hammer, earth tampers, cement mixers, surveying and measurement equipment, etc., loading and unloading frequently heavy (80 lbs or more) materials, clean-up and preparation of work sites, digging trenches, setting braces to support the sides of excavations, erecting scaffolding, clean-up of rubble and debris, removal of asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous waste materials. Performs unrelated tasks as required.
Construction Foreman are to follow directions from project managers; completing related and unrelated work as required. To do well in this role, one should be physically fit, reliable, and competent in majority aspects of the construction industry.
The incumbent in this class performs a variety of tasks in the construction and demolition of residential and commercial swimming pools, and/or their individual systems and/or components. The tasks require expert amount of acquired skill, often dealing with the building construction industry, construction, power equipment. The skill involved is parallel to that of the standard trades.
This position requires a self-motivated individual that can work alone and prioritize daily needs in a fast past environment. This position is Full Time year-round, benefits including Paid Vacation, Health Coverage, use of Company Vehicle for work travel.
Examples of Work: (Illustrative)
Operate and care (lubricate, clean, and repair) for construction equipment, machinery, and tools;
Position, join, align, and seal structural components, concrete wall sections and pipes;
Build and position forms for pouring concrete, and dismantle forms after use, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts;
Dig ditches or trenches, back-fill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, tampers, and rakes;
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications;
Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed;
Mix ingredients to create compounds for covering or cleaning surfaces;
Read and interpret plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities;
Use computers, mobile and other input devices;
Identify, pack, and transport hazardous materials;
Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers; and mix, pour, and spread concrete, Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete, using floats, trowels, screeds, or powered cement finishing tools;
Spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, or paint, through hoses to clean, coat, or seal surfaces
Apply caulking compounds by hand or using caulk guns
Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards and site clean-up when completing job;
Assists trade/craft workers;
Learn from on the job training when necessary;
Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding;
Operate a variety of equipment such as air compressors, portable generators, concrete mixers, powered saws, nailers, drills, etc.;
Operate automotive equipment, such as commercial trucks, vans, or cars to transport employees/equipment to/from work sites;
Build forms or structures using bricks, concrete and stone, and the repair of same;
Perform repairs in the plumbing field;
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes:
Exceptional knowledge of the techniques and terminology used in building construction, operation of construction equipment; ability to operate a variety of construction equipment; ability to follow oral and/or written instructions, ability to follow proper safety procedures and protocol, ability to work alone or with others, ability to learn new work quickly; mechanical intelligence and ability; ability to lift 80 lbs or more; manual dexterity; physical condition commensurate with the duties of the position.
Experience: 5-7 years experience in swimming pool construction
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
License: Driver’s License (Required)
